The first document is a report from the Chinese General at To Peng in the neighbourhood of Kowloon to the Viceroy of Canton, giving an account of the state of Affairs in the district under his command, & informing him of the measures he is adopting for preserving order.
The Report alludes especially to the Triad Society of which Fung Ah Chow is supposed to have been a prominent member, & refers to the difficulty of dealing with them in consequence of their taking refuge...
